Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actor, model and fashion designer. She was born on 13 February 1979. Her modeling career began in 1990. She soon shifted into acting following appearances in television shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. She debuted in film with the drama Nowhere, released in 1997. After her performances in American Beauty (for which she won the BAFTA Award) and American Pie that attracted more attention, she made her transition into major role. Following that, she starred as the protagonist for the role of a protagonist in Sugar & Spice (2000) with American Pie star Jason Biggs. Spun, an independent drama from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004) was the most recent of her appearances. She also starred in the HBO series Six Feet Under. The show was an instant hit during 2004. In 2005, the Screen Actors Guild awarded her the title of one of the most outstanding actors.
